This Privacy Statement explains how ArubaTaxiApp (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about drivers (“you”, “your”) who use the Aruba Taxi Driver app and related services (the “Services”). By using the Aruba Taxi Driver app, you agree to this Privacy Statement.
1. SCOPE AND APPLICATION
This Privacy Statement applies to all independent taxi drivers who use the Aruba Taxi Driver application to accept and fulfill ride requests made by users of the Aruba Taxi App. Drivers are not employees of ArubaTaxiApp. This Statement does not apply to riders. A separate privacy policy governs rider data.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
a. Information You Provide
We collect information you provide during:
- Driver registration, including:
- Full name, phone number, and email
- Driver’s license and taxi permit
- Profile photo
- Vehicle details (plate number)
- App usage, such as trip acceptance and status updates
- Support or feedback interactions with us
b. Information We Collect Automatically
We collect data from your device when you use the app:
- Location Data: Continuous access to precise GPS data to:
- Match you with nearby passengers
- Track trip progress
- Improve dispatch and safety
- Device Information: Such as mobile device model, OS version, and unique IDs
- Usage Data: Trip logs, acceptance rate, cancellations, and app performance
- Camera Use: For uploading your profile photo, your vehicle, and your taxi permit
- Notifications: For ride requests, trip updates, and service messages
- SMS: For verification during sign-up and other key communications
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Verify and onboard you as a driver
- Enable trip matching and routing
- Provide navigation via Google Maps
- Communicate with passengers (through in-app chat)
- Process and record trips for operational tracking
- Monitor service quality and enforce standards
- Detect and prevent fraud and misuse
- Provide customer and driver support
4. SHARING OF INFORMATION

6. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
- Location: You can disable GPS, but it will prevent you from receiving ride requests.
- Account Access: You can request access to or correction of your data by contacting us.
- Account Deletion: You may request account deletion by emailing support. Certain data may be retained as required by law.
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the Driver App signifies your acceptance of any updates.
